Barrie's perspective workshop programmed for week-ending 15th May has been cancelled due to lack of support. This is a real shame after the excellent life drawing session that Barry conducted at the end of last month.

28 Sept 2010 Paul Howard Acrylic Fenland Sunsets
Living in the south Lincolnshire fens Paul has developed a new inspiring demonstration featuring the glorious sunsets which form part of the local landscape. Paul will show us how to get the very best from this versatile and colourful medium. He is also a railway enthusiast and will bring along some of these paintings for us to see.

Tim is a leading local artist, writer and popular art tutor. He became a professional artist in 2000 and has won numerous art awards. He was short listed from 12,000 entrants for the first Daily Mail Not the Turner Prize competition with his pastel entitled "Pink Hydrangeas". So we are very pleased to see him demonstrate for us again.

27 July 2010 Geoff Kersey Watercolour Landscapes
Living and working in the Peak District, it's no surprise that many of Geoff's paintings feature the diverse and beautiful landscape of the region, with its meandering rivers, steep dales and valleys, farms and villages. Geoff's traditional style of painting aims to capture the essence of the subject.

We are delighted to welcome back Christine this year, with her down to earth practical approach to amazing flower painting. June is the perfect month for flowers it will be interesting to see which flowers she picks for this session.
25 May 2010 Dave Woolass Oils Portraits
Another local artist, Dave did a demonstration at Patchings in 2009. He works in a variety of media, but is going to demo in oils for this session. He would like an interesting volunteer from the audience to model for him.

20 March Rita Sadler 'Creative picture mounting workshop'
Rita Sadler is an established teacher of watercolour, and specialises in teaching picture framing. She has kindly agreed to demonstrate techniques on how to produce creative mounts for our pictures, developing unusual techniques to enhance and highlight paintings to the best advantage. Rita would like this also to be a hands-on session and asks for examples of smaller pictures to be brought in so that some of us can have a go as well. This evening should be an exciting and interesting one so dont miss it, and dont forget to bring a painting with you.

To start the year off we welcome Tim back to demonstrate his skills with an architectural street scene. He likes to work from life whenever possible which helps him to capture the atmosphere of the subject. Tim will demonstrate the techniques he uses to create amazing buildings.
23 Feb 2010 Norman Rossiter Acrylic Wildlife
Someone new to the club, Norman specialises in wildlife and countryside subjects, his game birds and wildfowl paintings have been exhibited and sold all over, winning many awards for his work. It will be real treat to see what he can create for us.

The above meeting points, other than the Rail Station, are simply starting points for a 2 hr walk with stops of approximately five minutes to draw or photograph the area
The Rail Station meets are to destinations yet to be decided, these trips may be more than 2 hours but the intention is to return by 5 pm
