Her topic was an approach to portraiture. She spoke about how to start an image by drawing and then how to mix paint to achieve the relevant tones. She worked in oils with a limited palette and painted the head and shoulders of a young girl. She gave plenty of helpful tips how to proceed and the pitfalls to avoid. It is hoped that we can have her back to run a portraiture workshop later in the year.”
