The Charnwood Drawing and Painting Club CDPC were extremely pleased to welcome His Worship the Mayor Councillor Colin Hamilton and the Lady Mayoress Mrs Emma Lowe to their Summer Art Exhibition 2026 at the Village Hall, Woodhouse Eaves.
The highlight of the Club’s calendar year, this exhibition of local art is held annually on the first weekend in June, during the Woodhouse Eaves Open Gardens weekend. Open to all CPDC club members, the variety and standard of painting was extremely high this year and well received by all those attending.
Russell Taylor’s painting ‘A stroll in the Outwoods ‘ was the people’s choice artwork and was voted best in show. Congratulations Russell!
CPDC is a very friendly and welcoming art club, who provides valuable support to numerous smaller groups, meeting most days of the week, at a variety of different locations within the Charnwood area. From Tutorials to Taster sessions, En Plein Air to Walk and Draw, or to just sit and relax whilst watching a notable guest artist work their magic at our monthly Demo Night, we hope there is something here for you to enjoy.
